Who wants to sleep for 3 months in the name of science?

Do you feel like pampering yourself in bed for three months? If you are European men aged 25-45, non-fat and non-smokers, the European Space Agency has an offer for you that you cannot refuse. The agency is looking for 14 volunteers for a study that will begin this March, which aims to test the effects of weightlessness in space on bones and muscle tissue.

14 men are already participating in the first part of the study, which is taking place at the "Meds" space clinic in Toulouse, southern France. They went to sleep in August, for 90 days. However, volunteers should read the fine print. The participants in the study were put to sleep with their head tilted down at an angle of minus six degrees, and they must remain in this position while they eat, go to the bathroom or shower using a special shower. Vacation, or a new type of modern inquisition?

One group of subjects remains in bed for the entire study period. The participants in the second group have to make a little more effort, and heaven forbid - exercise three times a week. Members of the third group take medication to test the effect on the bones.

The agency claims that the volunteers, who can try to be accepted for research on the clinic's website, should have EU citizenship, be healthy, and highly motivated. The participants are only men, to avoid statistical deviations due to the limited number of group members.
