The discovery of a shipwreck may change one of the most basic details
In Australian history, who discovered the continent. Captain James Cook was the Western Man
The first to arrive in Australia in 1770. Archaeologists now believe that a shipwreck,
which was recently discovered near Fraser Island in Australia, is from the period before the discovery
Continent by Captain Cook. If the initial findings turn out to be correct, this will bring
to rewrite history. Archaeologists believe that the discovered ship, which is about 30
meter, is a Spanish or Portuguese ship from the 16th century

Archaeologist Greg Jeffries told the Australian newspaper Courier Mail that photographs of
Three cannons from the ship will be sent to experts, in order to determine the age of the ship. "We found
Here's a whole line of super cannons on deck, so I'm convinced it's a cruise ship and not
Commerce," Jeffries said. "We are 99.9 percent convinced that we are onto something that will cause
to rewrite the history books".

Marion Diamond, a history lecturer at the University of Queensland, said it was definitely possible
And Portuguese sailors preceded Cook. Diamond explained that most world maps
The Portuguese, which were considered state secrets, were destroyed in the earthquake without soap in 1751.
"I think there were many more sea voyages to the southern hemisphere, than is commonly thought."
