Harvard and Hebrew University to Collaborate on NeuroAI Research

Harvard's Kempner Institute and the Edmond and Lily Safra Center for Brain Science at the Hebrew University will conduct joint academic activities in the field that connects brain research and artificial intelligence.

Prof. Haim Sompolinsky won the most important international award in the field of brain research for 2024 awarded by the Danish Lundbeck Foundation

Prof. Chaim Sompolinsky is the first Israeli researcher to win the prestigious award. He himself was born in Leopardstown, where his father, Prof. David Sompolinsky, was among the members of the underground who smuggled Jews by boat to Sweden.

The Grover Brain Research Award from Yale University was awarded to Prof. Haim Sompolinsky from the Hebrew University

The award was given to Sompolinski for his pioneering contribution to theoretical and computational neuroscience. This is the first time that the prize is awarded to an Israeli scientist
